2011 Badgers Football Season Starts Tomorrow

2011 Badgers Football SeasonHey Badgers football fans, it's the moment you've all been waiting for. The 2011 Badgers football season starts tomorrow! The Badgers football team hosts the UNLV Rebels at Camp Randall. The Badgers traditionally start their season against the Rebels and tomorrow's game will be at home. Last year, if you recall, the Badgers traveled out the Las Vegas. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow so the Rebels will probably feel right at home. The Badgers football team begins by playing several non-conference games before hosting the Nebraska Cornhuskers on October 1st. The Badgers vs. Cornhuskers games marks the first conference game of the season. Now would probably be a good time for you to start planning out which Badgers games you are going to attend.

4 Things To Know About Milwaukee Brewers Playoffs Tickets

Milwaukee Brewers playoffs ticketsWe've been getting a lot of inquiries about Milwaukee Brewers playoffs tickets. It's an exciting time to be a Brewers fan and naturally everyone has been thinking about the playoffs. Ticket King Milwaukee has Brewers playoffs tickets available for purchase. Based on some of the questions that we have received, here are 4 things to know about Brewers playoffs tickets:
  1. Home game dates are not set in stone (yet). We think the first home game will be on Saturday, October 1st, but that date is not set in stone. Know that if you buy a ticket to Home Game 1, you'll have to be flexible on the date and time at this point. The first home game could be played on Saturday, it could also be played on the following Wednesday. All sales are final, so make sure you don't have any conflicts that first week in October.
  2. The will call option will not be available for playoffs tickets. If you purchase tickets last minute, you'll have to pick them up from our downtown office. Tickets will not be able to be left at will call. Will call has been a popular option for our customers during the regular Brewers season, but it will not be offered for the Brewers playoffs.
  3. Parking will not be available at the stadium on the day of the game. In order to park at Miller Park, you will have to purchase a parking pass in advance. You won't be able to roll up to the stadium on the day of a game and buy parking in the lot.
  4. Tickets cannot be emailed. All Brewers playoff tickets will be hard tickets that will need to be shipped directly to you or picked up from out downtown Milwaukee office.
Now, all we need is for the Milwaukee Brewers to secure their spot in the playoffs. Go Brew Crew!

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers | Wisconsin Badgers Tickets

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Nebraska CornhuskersThe Wisconsin Badgers vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game on October 1st at Camp Randall is shaping up to be the game of the Badgers football season! This season marks Nebraska’s first year in the Big Ten and after the success they saw last year, this should be a great addition to already very competitive conference. The Badgers were Big Ten champions this year and are no doubt looking to reclaim that title again this year. As Big Ten newbies, Nebraska would love to make a statement by nabbing the title. Badger tickets are available for this game, but Nebraska fans are known for traveling. Expect to see a large contingent of Nebraska fans at this game! Could it be 50/50 Badgers fans, Nebraska fans? Not if you and all of your Badger fanatic friends go to the game.

Brewers vs. Cubs Series 8/26-8/28

Brewers vs. Cubs seriesBrace yourself for another Brewers vs. Cubs series starting this Friday. The Cubs will be in town all weekend as the Brewers return home for a two series home stay. While the Cubs are longstanding rivals of the Milwaukee Brewers, they don't pose much of a threat this year as far as standings are concerned. Speaking of standings, the Brewers are 10 games ahead of the 2nd place Cardinals in the NL Central. It is an exciting time to be a Brewers fan! You won't want to miss a Brewers game at Miller Park, especially since the Brew Crew could clinch the division there one of these weeks. The Brewers have been playing for sold out crowds at Miller Park and I think it's safe to assume that Miller Park will sell out from here on out. Better to get your Milwaukee Brewers while you still can!

A little fun fact is that blink-182 also headlined in the tour's first year. Speaking of blink-182, we actually saw their tour bus drive by our office this morning! For those of you that didn't know, blink-182 is back in action after taking a hiatus from 2005-2009. They are back on the road and will have a new album released September 27th. If you end up going to the Honda Civic tour tomorrow, you'll be able to win a customized Honda Civic (each band customizes one) in a raffle.

Green Bay Packers vs. New Orleans Saints 9/8

In just under three weeks, the Green Bay Packers will host the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field for the league opener. This should be a great game as the Green Bay Packers are defending Super Bowl champions and the Saints won the Super Bowl the previous year. All eyes will be on the Packers as they seek to win a consecutive Super Bowl title. Packers tickets are still available for this game on Thursday, September 8th. Rumor has it that some big names will be performing as a part of the pregame kickoff for this game. The word on the street is that the Black Eyed Peas or Kid Rock might be performing. I guess you'll have to find out for yourself. Regardless, this should be a great game to attend.

Pearl Jam Alpine Valley Tickets

Pearl Jam Alpine Valley ticketsPearl Jam will mark their 20th anniversary with a weekend of concerts at Alpine Valley on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th. These are the only dates that Pearl Jam will perform in the US and Alpine Valley was lucky enough to secure the concert! Ticket King has Pearl Jam Alpine Valley tickets still available. Pearl Jam fans will not want to miss these shows! Earlier this summer, Eddie Vedder went on a solo tour to promote his solo album, "Ukulele Songs." Pearl Jam have not performed in Wisconsin since 2006 when they opened for Tom Petty for two nights at the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest. Their September shows should be rockin', especially since these are their only US shows this tour!

Green Bay Packers Tickets: Green vs. Gold Packages

Green vs. gold packageWhen it comes to Green Bay Packers tickets, we get this question a lot: what is the difference between the green and gold packages? Depending on whether or not you are a Green Bay Packers season ticket holder, you may have heard the distinction between the green package and the gold package. If you don't know the difference between the two packages, you will in a moment! The two different ticket packages started when the Packers used to play their games at both Lambeau Field and County Stadium. Season ticket packages were offered for Lambeau Field games and County Stadium games. When the Packers moved all of their games to Lambeau Field, the Milwaukee season ticket holders were offered a 3-game package deal known as the "gold package." The remaining games are the games allocated to Green Bay season ticket holders, also known as the "green package." This year's gold package games are the Packers/Cardinals preseason game on Friday, the Packers/Broncos game on October 2nd, and the Packers/Buccaneers game on November 20th.

How About Those Milwaukee Brewers?! | Milwaukee Brewers Tickets

Milwaukee Brewers ticketsHow about those Milwaukee Brewers? Last night, the Brewers made a triple play, something that rarely happens in baseball. The Brewers went on to defeat the LA Dodgers 3-0, stretching their division lead over the St. Louis Cardinals to 6 games. Last night's win also marks the 17th win for the Brewers in their last 19 games. The moral of the story? You need to get your Milwaukee Brewers tickets now, to catch these amazing Brewers in action! Who knows, you might even get to see a playoffs game or two! I don't want to get ahead of myself, but wouldn't it be great if the World Series was in Milwaukee?

Green Bay Packers Preseason Tickets

Green Bay Packers preseason ticketsThe Green Bay Packers preseason kicks off this Saturday with a game against the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland. Green Bay Packers preseason tickets are available for all four preseason games. The preseason games are a great opportunity for Packers fans to get over to Lambeau Field and experience its charms at a very affordable price. Not to mention the weather will still be nice! I just might take this opportunity to sit at the 50 yard line just behind the Packers bench. Since it will be warm, I won't even have to wear a sweater over my Rodgers jersey. While the preseason doesn't have many implications for the regular season, it's still fun to watch the Packers in action.

Janet Jackson at the Milwaukee Theatre August

Janet Jackson at Milwaukee TheatreJanet Jackson will be performing at the Milwaukee Theatre on August 14th. Ticket King Milwaukee still has Janet Jackson tickets available for Sunday night's performance. Now, I might be dating myself a little bit, but Janet Jackson was the first person I ever saw in concert. She came to Summerfest in the mid-90s and I was more than thrilled when my best friend invited me to go to the Marcus Amphitheater with her mom to see her concert. I had her CD and listened to it non-stop on my disc-man. I think I just might have to go see her this Sunday, especially since I'm old enough to go by myself (and purchase adult beverages, too). While Janet hasn't released a CD recently, she has a great repertoire to draw from. The Milwaukee Theatre is a great venue for concerts so if you haven't seen a show there, you should check it out!

When Packers and Bears Fans Sit in the Same Room

Packers versus Bears

Packers and Bears fans can peacefully coexist. This guest post by Jackson proves it.

The longest running rivalry in the NFL came to a climax in late January of this year. The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers met in a game that would decide bragging rights for years to come. I belong to a family that is split down the middle regarding opinions of both teams. We watched the NFC title game in my grandmother's purposefully neutral living room. No paraphernalia of either team decorates her wall. It is rare that you hope your visiting relatives would have an unhappy trip back. This, however, was such an occasion.

As grand as my exuberance was in hopes sending my extended family home frowning, it was greatly overshadowed by the entire population of Wisconsin's delight in winning a gubernatorial bet between the states.

To exemplify the friendliness and respect the two states share for one another, Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, and Illinois governor Pat Quinn, entered into a bet on the outcome of the title match. Exact details of the bet were not made clear initially, but after the Packers victory it was announced that Quinn would have to travel north to spend some volunteer time at the Shalom Food Pantry in Kenosha .

For seven long months Packers fans have been patiently waiting. Up until this past week, Quinn had maintained that he was too busy with political duties to make the trip. As an avid news follower, I don't doubt that he was in fact a busy man.

Earlier in the week, Quinn was able to pull himself from the clutches of political turmoil and make the lighthearted trip to our wonderful state. He spent a morning at the pantry signing autographs, posing for pictures, but above all else assisting the good folks of Kenosha with their weekly shopping. Scott Walker respectfully thanked Quinn for his follow through on the wager and told the hair-netted politician that he looks forward to welcoming him back next year when the Packers win it all again.

Ticket King Wisconsin for Green Bay Packers Tickets

Green Bay Packers tickets

Ticket King Wisconsin has something in common with the Green Bay Packers. We are both rushing to prepare for the football season. Some folks wanted to wait for the strike to end before they purchased their Lambeau Field tickets. Packers fans usually start picking through our ticket inventory the day that the schedule is announced. Since the season was not a sure thing until just last week, it feels like those spring buyers are making their plans now. Not to worry, we have a full ticket inventory for all you Lambeau Field fanatics.

Brewers Sweep Astros | Cardinals Will Certainly Be a Tougher Opponent

Miller Park tickets

Our Milwaukee Brewers just faced an Astros team without Hunter Pence. Michael Bourn and Jeff Keppinger were gone before Pence put on his new Phillies uniform. It seems like Houston is looking to next season, shedding their better players left and right. They are now 38 games under .500. Prior to that series, the Brew Crew faced a Cubs team also in a bad way. The next team heading to Miller Park will not go down so easily.

Brewers Welcome Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals are in town for three games. They are not a team in despair, shedding quality players left and right. The Cardinals hope to be on top of the NL Central standings at the end of the series, while the Brewers have an opportunity to take a serious lead. Miller Park tickets are available for this three game series.
